All about your run

Just like the CHALLENGE WOMEN run, the Challenge Women Virtual Run powered by GARMIN is a 5km lap!

You can run the course from the 04th of July 2020 at 10 a.m. until 05th of July 2020 at 10 a.m.! On Sunday, 05th of July, 2020, the award ceremony takes place at noon (12 p.m.).

It is important that each participant runs alone or with a contact person, such as the best friend, mother or daughter. The 5km can be run or walked – the focus is on having fun and enjoy the joy of movement. We also kindly ask you not to run alone in the dark or at night! Please also take a look at our rules for the virtual run:

  1. Run alone or with a companion!

Because of the different regulations of the federal governments, it is highly recommended to run alone if possible! According to the Bavarian government, as of 27th of April, 2020, the following is allowed:

… Sports and exercise in the open air, but only alone, with another person not living in the same household or with members of the same household and without any other group formation.

  1. Keep your distance!

We kindly ask you to choose a 5km course, that you can easily do alone. If you meet other people, please keep a safe distance of at least 10 metres from the next runner. Regarding the walkers, a minimum distance of 5 metres to the next walker is required.

  1. Watch your health!

We kindly ask you to only start if you feel physically fit. The participation in the run is at your own risk. We provide you with a warm-up video on Facebook/Instagram with our super woman Franzi from the local fitness club well.come in Roth. This will give you an optimal start into the 5km run!

We deliberately set the Challenge Women Virtual Run powered by GARMIN to a 24 hour time window, so you can have your track all to yourself. If you live in Roth or the surrounding area, feel free to run the original CHALLENGE WOMEN run course. However we kindly ask you to keep the minimum distance of at least 10 metres to the next runner apart from your companion. All others can follow the course virtually thanks to the Challenge Women app.


The time keeping.

Your time & distance is measured by activating the tracking app – you can download this app for free (iPhone or Android). Your fans can also use this app and create their favorites. When you start your run, you activate the app by clicking on Start and finish with Stop. The data upload is done automatically! Further information and the link to download the app will be provided by our time keeper mika:timing after the online registration.

Of course it’s also possible to run or walk without any time keeping at the Challenge Women Virtual Run powered by GARMIN. Please indicate this option directly during your online registration. You will then appear in the result list without time indication but you can still download your personal participation certificate afterwards. Nevertheless, the app must be activated by you before you can download your personal certificate.
